Who we are
We arrived here in 1990. My husband, Edoardo Ventimiglia, was a documentary maker in Rome in the old family business – his grandfather had been Hitchcock’s first cameraman. I, Carla Benini, was an agronomist: thirty years of birth, I dreamed of working in the countryside while I spent my time between office, planes and hotels. Slowly, but surely, we have lost interest in our city activities.

At the beginning there was very little: one hectare of vineyards, a broken-down house, 72 hectares of land abandoned for years; then gradually things evolved. The first harvest dates back to 1997, in the newly renovated cellar; then, the first bottle. Since then, every day we revise our project: between us, with our collaborators, with our friend and winemaker Attilio Pagli, we work to make it concrete. And every day we are happy to have made this choice.
