Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas 2017
Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas 2017 – Notes : Grenache 75%, Syrah 15%, Mourvèdre 5%, Cinsault 5%.‘Bright ruby. Ripe dark berry and floral scents are lifted by suggestions of minerals and white pepper. Fleshy and expansive on the palate, offering intense blackberry liqueur and cherry compote flavors that pick up a spicy element with air. Rich but lively, with supple tannins giving shape to a sweet, floral-tinged finish.’ 91 Points – Josh Raynolds, vinous.com
Gigondas is a French wine Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the southern Rhône wine region of France. It is primarily a red wine region, with a very small amount of rosé wine produced. No white wines carry the Gigondas appellation. Considered a little brother to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the wine is moderately prestigious and can age well when treated with care.[1] Gigondas AOC wine is produced exclusively in the commune of Gigondas, in Vaucluse.
